Sweet Shy has all the things Frenchie fans look for:
-She's fun size (20 pounds)
-Looks adorable in clothes (she came to us with a whole wardrobe)
-She gives cuddles for days
-Snorty, adorable Frenchie sounds
-Super playful at 5 years young
-And... a specific, gut supportive diet!
Shy came to us over the 4th of July weekend as an urgent owner surrender while she was having a severe IBS issue. The owners had acquired her from the person who had her since 8 weeks old and had been breeding her.
After just a few weeks with her and a damaging "vegan diet" that the previous owner/breeder recommended, her new owners were beside themselves with what do with her. We took Shy into our care and poured all of our resources and Frenchie IBS experience into her.
We immediately contacted our vet for an emergency appointment and discovered she had a slight skin infection and severe ear infection which we are actively treating. We expect these issues should clear up with proper continued care.
After consulting with our local pet nutritionist and getting her on a meat based diet with supportive probiotics, colon tincture and a greens mix for fiber we are thrilled to share that Shy is having normal bowel movements just a few days after being on the opposite end of the spectrum!
We believe that Shy's gut will continue to heal but a specific diet will be necessary in order for her to be comfortable and thrive. Hers is a nutritional issue not a high dollar veterinary concern as too often ends up happening with so many Frenchies. We ask that whoever adopts Shy adhere to a strict diet and be in communication with our nutritionist and a vet about ongoing support, care and nuances with her digestion.
Luvable will cover her spay (to be scheduled soon) and will complete the vet care until her ears and skin are healed and her digestion is fully sound.
She has shown us she is house trained, easy with other dogs and an absolute love with people. Shy is a total doll and her forever people will be lucky to have her!
Shy's adoption fee is $350, includes spay, microchip, vaccines and the above mentioned care.
