Please read her bio carefully before applying. Serena cannot see, but that certainly has not stopped this incredibly smart girl from figuring things out.
Serena's story broke our hearts. This sweet Frenchie was being given away for free on Facebook to anyone who would take her. She is blind, was not spayed, and clearly needed someone to step in and make sure she was safe. We simply could not let a blind senior girl be passed around to whoever happened to respond to a free-dog post, so Serena is now safe with us and getting the care she deserves.
And despite everything stacked against her, Serena is already showing us just how special she is. She is a very smart girl who is learning her way around her foster home surprisingly quickly. She has done wonderfully with the other small dogs in her foster home and is proving that being blind does not mean she cannot enjoy a full, happy life.
Serena is still getting settled and we are learning more about her every day, but one thing is already very clear: this girl has so much more life left to live.
