DESCRIPTION
MEET FRANCO, an adorable but scared 2-year-old French Bulldog/Basenji mix in need of a foster or forever home. Franco is currently housed with his sister Brie, who looks a lot like him and is also scared. We think they can be separated, though, and it may actually help them. They weigh about 35 lbs each. (Their paperwork may say shepherd mix but they both have Frenchie ears.) Both of them are timid/scared of new people, so they need adopters who can be patient and let them come out of their shells and bond to you. Franco is cute as a button and a wonderful medium size. He can be transported to Oregon.
ABOUT: BASENJI DOG BREED
The Basenji is a small hunting dog known for its unique traits, including a highly distinctive yodel like sound instead of a typical bark, and the inability to bark like other dogs. Originating from Africa, these intelligent and curious dogs are independent, agile, and alert, making them excellent companions for active individuals or families with experience handling their assertive nature. Recognized for their clean habits and cat like grooming behavior, basenjis require regular exercise and mental stimulation to thrive in a loving home environment.
The French Bulldog, known for its iconic bat like ears, charming personality, and compact yet muscular build, is a beloved companion dog breed. Originating in France, these affectionate and adaptable dogs are ideal for apartment living due to their relatively low exercise needs. Their distinctive wrinkled face and snub nose make them instantly recognizable, while their playful and sociable nature endears them to families and singles alike. French Bulldogs are known for their loyalty, affection, and gentle temperament, making them a popular choice for dog lovers worldwide.
