Some dogs come into rescue because they've never known what it feels like to be loved. Harper's story is the heartbreaking opposite.

This beautiful girl has been adored her entire life. Sadly, both of her parents are seriously ill and can no longer care for her. Their greatest wish is that Harper finds a family who will love her every bit as much as they do. And honestly? Harper makes that pretty easy!

Harper is a 9-10-year-old, 40lb Foxhound mix who's the definition of sweet, happy, and easygoing. She's a professional snuggler, an expert napper, and a big fan of simply being by your side.

Her vet records estimate her age at 9–10, but we think she may be younger - she looks and acts much more like a happy 6–7-year-old pup!

Wonderful with all humans, loves kids, and is great with other dogs


Occasionally gets the zoomies, but they're over almost as quickly as they start! Overall, she's very mellow and completely content hanging with her humans.


Fully house-trained, rides nicely in the car, and enjoys her daily walks.


Recently completed a 3-week board-and-train to polish her manners, leash walking, and basic commands. She has officially retired from her counter-surfing career!


Harper is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Located on Long Island. Her adoption fee is $500.
