Meet Denis!

Weighing in at around 15 lbs, this 1 year old terrier mix is sure to melt your heart with his enthusiastic personality and abundant desire for puppy kisses.

Adopters should know he is extremely intelligent, requiring guidance or he may be found conducting an archeological dig in a basket of laundry.

He LOVES other dogs, but he can come in a bit strong and not every dog will appreciate the approach. He has a wonderful temperament, earning the nickname Mr. Happy Pants by his family foster. He has not been around cats or children, but given his strong personality, he may be best in an adult only home.

Denis will require strong guidance when meeting new people or situations as he can get a case of stranger danger and react. Denis is honing his social skills to improve on his first impressions.

He is still learning some basic manners and how to walk on a leash. He is well on his way to being house trained and runs to his crate on command. Denis' hobbies include scouring for crumbs and being the first dog in the play yard.

The Fox Terrier is a small, energetic, and intelligent breed known for its distinctive appearance, with smooth or wirehaired coat varieties. Fox Terriers are fearless and playful, making them excellent companions for active families. Their history lies in hunting foxes, reflected in their high prey drive and need for mental and physical stimulation. They are loyal and affectionate towards their owners but may show dominance over other dogs. Regular exercise and training are essential for a well balanced Fox Terrier.
