Prince is a handsome Finnish Spitz mix, born in September 2024, and he has already captured our hearts.

Prince has only recently arrived at the shelter, so we are still getting to know his personality and learning all the little things that make him special. What we know for sure is that he is super sweet and has a gentle, lovable nature.

Right now, Prince is taking everything in and adjusting to his new surroundings. As he settles in, we hope to learn more about his favorite activities, how he does with other dogs, and what kind of home will make him happiest.

Sometimes the very best dogs are the ones who simply need someone willing to give them a little time, patience, and a chance.

The Finnish Spitz is a medium sized breed known for its fox like appearance, with erect ears, a bushy tail, and a dense double coat that comes in shades of golden red. Originating in Finland, these lively and energetic dogs were traditionally used for hunting small game, including birds and squirrels. Their distinctive yodel like bark, known as the "bark of the north," makes them excellent watchdogs. Finnish Spitz are intelligent, independent, and affectionate, making them loyal companions for active families.
