Socialization: Lily is a very sweet, friendly and polite dog. She likes all people, aspires to be a lap dog and is an expert snuggler.
Lily rides well, enjoys going to stores, plays with toys, enjoys playing with other dogs and is typically quiet.
Prey drive is moderate when out on walks. She does not obsess about our chickens but behavior with cats is unknown.

Training: Lily comes when called, sits for treats, is gentle taking treats and respectful to company. She does not jump up on people. Lily is crated trained, house trained, walks on a leash although she does pull at times.
With a reminder, Lily gives space while humans are eating. While we have never seen Lily counter surf, I would not leave food unattended as a precaution.

Crate trained: Lily is comfortable in a crate and is quiet when shut in. Because her puppies are in a pen, we do crate Lily when we need to run errands.
She sleeps in our room, part of the night in our bed. Lily uses the dog door freely to go outside to potty or be in the yard.

Leash trained: Lily walks well on a leash but does pull still. She is curious about other dogs but ignores loose and barking dogs on a walk.

Activity level/requirements: Lily is a moderately active dog. She walks a hour a day with the other dogs, uses the yard as she wishes, plays with her puppies and other resident dogs, likes water and running around the yard.
Physical fence is preferred for Lily but with proper instruction, Lily may be able to be safe with invisible fence.

Fence requirements: Physical fence is preferred but with specific training, invisible fence may be safe. Lily has been a very good mom to her puppies and includes those from another litter in activities.

Personality: Sweet, gentle, respectful and friendly. If Lily could be near a person, she will stay to get petted, cuddled and Neal in your lap!

Health history: UTD on vaccinations, is spayed, microchipped, & on monthly heartworm preventative.

Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be an additional charge of $75.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000-mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000-mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog.
