DESCRIPTION
R-E-S-C-U-E... find out what it means to me!
Introducing Miss Aretha - a 5-year-old English Bulldog with the voice of an angel... if angels snored loudly, waddled dramatically toward snacks, and hauled around a dump truck-sized booty everywhere they went.
Aretha is the total package; the easiest, low-energy, lovable, squishy, and a bit sassy when you need to smile (or mainly when she's ready to eat or if she thinks you may have forgotten she exists) chunky gal. She's missing one eyeball, but frankly, that just adds character.
This girl is happiest living the simple life: soaking up warm weather like a retired Florida grandmother, rolling over to beg for a belly rub, and occasionally relocating herself from one nap spot to another.
Aretha is crate trained, housebroken, dog friendly, and wonderfully unbothered by chaos. She's happy to have canine siblings around, but she's not looking to join the WWE smackdown in the living room.
She's also been wonderful with children as young as 9-10 months old and would likely do just fine with cats too... mostly because there is absolutely zero chance she's catching one if they decide to run.
Aretha is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and ready to find a family committed to helping her continue her weight loss journey while maintaining the dry eye care for her remaining eye. In return, she promises endless companionship, unmatched couch potato energy, and the kind of unconditional love only a slightly lopsided bulldog queen can provide.
If your dream dog is a dog that you may forget exists (until the loud snore reminds you) and is less "adventure partner" and more "rotisserie chicken-shaped emotional support roommate", Aretha is ready to sing her way into your heart.
ABOUT: ENGLISH BULLDOG DOG BREED
The English Bulldog is a distinctive and beloved breed known for its sturdy build, wrinkled face, and gentle temperament. Originating in England, these dogs are characterized by their muscular frame, powerful jaw, and unique pushed in nose. Despite their tough appearance, English Bulldogs are affectionate, loyal, and great with children, making them excellent family pets. Due to their brachycephalic nature, they may struggle with overheating and breathing issues, requiring attentive care and moderate exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
