CHOPS IS THE NAME, SNUGGLING IS MY GAME... AND STAIRS ARE MY ENEMY!
Well, hello there, beautiful people. The name’s Chops. Yes, like pork chops. And before you ask, YES, I am built like one. A little thick, a little short, and absolutely irresistible.
I’m a 2-year-old bulldog with the body of a baked potato, the legs of a toddler, and the personality of a man who believes personal space is a ridiculous concept.
Let’s get a few things straight.
MY EARS? Well, somebody did a pretty terrible job on those before I got here, and unfortunately, my hearing isn’t the greatest because of it. But don’t you worry! I have developed a highly sophisticated tracking system called MINDING EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS.
You can’t sneak away from me. Bathroom? I’m coming. Kitchen? Already there. Going to sit on the couch? Scoot over, we’ve got cuddling to do.
OTHER DOGS? Listen, I’m a gentleman, but I don’t just hand out friendship bracelets to every dog I meet. I can be a little selective, but I’m friendly and warm up with time. I just prefer to get to know someone before we start sharing a couch and discussing our feelings. A meet and greet with any potential canine roommates is required.
HOUSE MANNERS? EXCUSE ME. I am a PROFESSIONAL.
Potty trained? Absolutely.
Crate trained? Like a seasoned employee.
Walk on a leash? You bet your biscuits.
Neutered? The family jewels have officially left the building.
MY FITNESS JOURNEY? Okay, now we’re getting personal.
Apparently, the rescue ladies have decided I could stand to lose a few pounds. Personally, I prefer the term “economy-sized linebacker.”
I’m currently participating in a fitness program that involves walking, exercising, and being told I don’t need another snack.
It’s a very difficult time in my life. Please respect my privacy.
And stairs? Absolutely unnecessary architectural nonsense. Have you SEEN these legs? I’m built for loving, not mountain climbing. A home without a bunch of stairs would be greatly appreciated.
BUT HERE’S WHAT REALLY MATTERS...
Underneath this squishy face, chunky little body, and slightly selective social calendar is a boy who just wants to belong to somebody.
I may not hear every word you say, but I promise I’ll always know when you’re near. I’ll follow you from room to room, keep your feet warm, and make sure you never have to experience the loneliness of going to the bathroom by yourself again.
I’m not asking for perfection. Just someone who will love my imperfections, appreciate my bulldog charm, and maybe occasionally tell me I’m skinny.
Love, Chops
P.S. If you adopt me, we’re going to need to discuss your couch situation. I have certain expectations.
