Meet Winkie! Weighing in at 52 pounds of pure squishy perfection, Winkie is a 3-year-old bulldog mix who is ready to trade her stray days for the spoiled life she truly deserves.

This adorable short-and-stout sweetheart was found wandering as a stray, and sadly, no one came to claim her. Their loss is definitely someone else's gain because Winkie is the complete package.The moment you meet her, she'll have you smiling from ear to ear with her sweet face, lovable personality, and signature bulldog snorts and grunts.

Winkie is a self-proclaimed professional couch potato. She's not interested in marathons or hiking adventures—in fact, she'd much rather spend her days lounging in the air conditioning, thank you very much. She doesn't care to walk very far, especially in the summer heat, and honestly... who can blame her? If your idea of a perfect day includes relaxing on the couch with your favorite buddy, Winkie is already packing her imaginary bags.

Low-energy and easygoing, Winkie is searching for a family that appreciates the finer things in life—soft beds, cool naps, tasty treats, belly rubs, and lots of love. Because of her compact build, a home with few stairs would be ideal for this precious girl.

Winkie has shown great potential with other dogs and recently joined a dog playgroup, where she did well. Compatibility with cats and young children is unknown, but older children would be a better fit due to her sturdy size.

Winkie is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome her home while she finishes her veterinary care with the shelter. During this time, she'll be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for heartworm disease—everything she needs to start her new life healthy, happy, and loved.
