General is extremely timid and overwhelmed by the shelter environment. He spends much of his time feeling nervous and unsure, and it's clear that the shelter is no place for a dog as sensitive as he is. Despite his fears, he has the sweetest little nervous grin that appears when he's unsure of himself-and it just might be the cutest expression you've ever seen.

He does wonderfully with other dogs and doesn't mind cats at all. Having a calm, confident canine companion in a foster or forever home could help him learn that the world isn't such a scary place after all.

Right now, what General needs most is someone willing to give him patience, kindness, and a quiet place where he can finally relax. He doesn't need perfection-he just needs someone to believe in him. Once he realizes he's safe and loved, we know this precious boy will begin to shine.
