Meet Milo

1 1/2 years old • 30 lbs • Bulldog mix

Milo may be a little guy, but he has already been through more than his fair share.

Milo arrived at a shelter in South Carolina as a stray in February 2026. No one ever came looking for him. On top of being homeless, Milo was dealing with a serious medical condition called paraphimosis.

After several surgeries were unsuccessful in correcting the problem, Milo ultimately needed a partial penile amputation. Through months of waiting, procedures, and recovery, this sweet boy kept going—and now he is doing well and finally ready to put all of that behind him.

And after everything he’s endured, Milo absolutely LOVES people.

His foster says Milo is:
Great with other dogs
House trained
Crate trained
Incredibly affectionate
A professional couch-and-TV buddy
A huge fan of belly rubs

His favorite place is cuddled up next to his human watching TV, preferably with plenty of belly rubs included.

Because Milo is a bulldog mix, we are requiring his adopter to have previous bulldog or bulldog-mix experience.

Milo waited months for his chance to leave the shelter. Now he just needs the final piece of his story, a family to call his own.
