I'm a 11⁄2-year-old Dutch Shepherd/American Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing about 40 pounds, and I'm searching for the forever family I've been dreaming of.

If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, I might be your girl. I love treats (okay, I really love treats!) and I've never met a meal I didn't enjoy. One of my favorite things in the whole world is rolling around in the grass and soaking up the sunshine in the backyard.

I'm the kind of dog who likes to be near my people and canine friends . You'll often find me quietly following you from room to room, just to see what you're up to and keep you company. Most of the time, though, I'm perfectly happy curling up nearby for a nap while you go about your day.

I'm still learning that couches and beds are safe and cozy places, so I don't usually hop up for snuggles just yet. Instead, I like to sleep in the same room as my people where I can feel close and comfortable. When I want your attention, I'll gently nudge your knee with my nose to say, "Hi, I'm here."

Walks are one of my favorite adventures, and I'm an easy companion because I naturally match your pace. Whether we're taking a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or just enjoying some fresh air together, I'm happy as long as I'm with you.

As far as I'm concerned, everyone is a potential friend! I greet new people with a wagging tail and an open heart. I'm house-trained, great with dogs, wonderful with children, and I'm working hard on my crate training every day.
