DESCRIPTION
Meet Azi, a five-year-old white male Doberman who is heartworm negative, neutered, up to date on preventions and vaccines. Azi needs a forever home that is more dedicated to him personally. Ideally, without a lot of dogs coming and going. Azi is very sociable and gets along well with pretty much every single dog he meets; however, in his current environment, there are new dogs coming and going often for work purposes, and it does stress him out a bit. When placed into a foster home for a temporary period to test how he did, he's much happier, much more laid back, much lazier, and really enjoyed life more. As he would do best in a home with a more mature, older family. He is quite a lazy boy. He likes to gallop and run from time to time, but he's not a great walking partner. He doesn't care so much for it, but he will oblige. He knows basic obedience commands and has no health problems. He is house trained and crate trained, but sometimes, due to new dogs coming and going, he has had an accident that was a marking behavior. He will keep you safe from squirrels and will defend you from bumblebees. As he has been very much exposed to kids and does well, but sometimes upon meeting new people he will bark and be a little bit standoffish. At one point, somebody came into the home very loudly, abruptly, and unexpectedly, and he did jump on them and push them into the door. It's probably best that we don't place him in a house with young kids due to sleepovers and slumber parties; however, he has never bitten anybody and is a very good boy. His eyesight is very sensitive, as to be expected, though he does not enjoy his dog goggles. With his eyesight, though, he is not an off-leash candidate. He tends to close his eyes a lot when he goes outside, even when it's not that bright, and sometimes wanders off and gets lost. A six-foot fenced-in yard is required for adoption of Azi. Again, he does very well with other dogs but no cats. If you think you are an ideal candidate for Azi, please send detailed information about your household, your family, your location, and why you think you might be a good fit. Following the email, I will send an application for adoption. If approved, we will set up a meet and greet and adoption day. Standard adoption fee of $400 applies.
