Meet Rosey: The Sweetheart Who's Ready to Run — Right Into Your Heart
Hey there, I'm Rosey! I'm a 3-year-old black and tan Doberman with natural ears, a docked tail, and 65 pounds of pure enthusiasm. I am affectionate, playful, and deeply loyal — and after a bit of a rocky road finding my right fit, I am soready for the home I was always meant to have.
Personality: I am a high-energy, full-heart kind of girl. If you're active, outdoorsy, and looking for a dog who will genuinely match your energy and then curl up next to you at the end of the day — hi, that's me. I love to run, I love to play, and I love my people fiercely. Like, fiercely. Dobermans are famously velcro dogs and I am a gold-star example of that. I want to be where you are, doing what you're doing, always. That's not a flaw, it's a feature. It does mean I need a home where someone is actually there to be with me though.
My Story: I've been in rescue twice now, and both times it came down to the same thing: I didn't get what I needed. My first owner got me without really understanding what a Doberman requires and I spent most of my time crated in an apartment. He made the right call surrendering me because I genuinely deserved better. My second home loved me — my adopter was a great match in every way — but his job ended up pulling him away for long hours consistently, and I struggled without that companionship and care. This wasn't a behavior failure. It was a lifestyle mismatch. I need someone who is present, and now we know that clearly.
Kids & People: I am a sweetheart with humans across the board — adults, kids, all of it. I've been great with the small children in both my foster home and my previous home. People are my favorite thing and I show up for them every time.
Other Dogs: I am dog reactive and need to be the only dog in the home. This isn't negotiable, it's just who I am, and a home without other dogs means I can be my very best self.
Manners & Training: I know sit and lay down, I'm crate trained, potty trained, and I'm a great car rider. Where I need work is on the leash — I'm pushy and reactive around other dogs, so leash manners are a work in progress. I need an adopter who is physically capable of handling a strong, energetic dog if needed, and ideally someone with Doberman or working breed experience. A consistent, structured handler will get the absolute best out of me.
Health & Vetting: I'm spayed, microchipped, and up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo vaccines. Heartworm negative and negative for intestinal parasites. Healthy girl, ready to go!
Why You'll Love Me: I am pure love in a 65-pound package. I want to run with you, cuddle with you, and be your constant companion. I've waited a little longer than most to find my right home — but I haven't given up, and I don't think you'll be able to either once you meet me.
Ready to be my person — for real this time?
Love, Rosey
