Meet Captain, a handsome 3-year-old, 45-pound brown-and-white Dalmatian looking for his perfect forever home! Captain is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, house-trained, and crate-trained. He enjoys car rides, knows some tricks, and loves being part of the family, including snuggling on the bed or furniture.

Captain walks with a harness and leash, sleeps indoors, and eats WholeHearted dog food twice daily, morning and evening. He is being rehomed because his current family is unable to provide the level of activity and exercise he needs.

Captain would thrive with an active family ready to give him plenty of exercise, attention, and love. He does best with large dogs and may be happiest as the only dog in the home. His compatibility with cats and other animals is unknown, and a home without cats is recommended.

Captain can be vocal when meeting new people, but he warms up after an initial round of barking and sniffing. Since he has not been around small children, a home with older children or teens may be the best fit. Captain is not formally obedience-trained, so a patient adopter willing to continue his training and provide consistent guidance will help him shine.
