MEET ELTON!

Everyone, meet Elton, the newest little guy to land under the Fairy Dogmother Rescue wand!

Elton is a 3-year-old Dachshund/Terrier mix weighing just 19 pounds, and when we tell you this boy is SWEET...we mean so, so sweet.

Elton was an owner surrender through absolutely no fault of his own. The Animal Control Officer reached out to us because they knew we would help this special little guy find the forever home he deserves. And, of course, we said YES!

It didn't take us long to figure out that Elton is pretty much the perfect little companion.

Elton isn't asking for much. He just wants to be with his person. Whether you're running errands, relaxing on the couch, or moving from one room to another, Elton is perfectly content being your little sidekick.

Sometimes a dog comes into rescue and you immediately think, "Someone is going to be incredibly lucky to get this one."

The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
