Moose is a sweet and loving boy who forms strong bonds with the people he knows and trusts. Once he feels comfortable with you, he has so much love to give and is looking for someone who will give him the patience and understanding he deserves.

Moose has spent time around children, including his current family’s niece and nephew, without any reported concerns. He also currently lives with a cat and generally does well with feline friends. Like many of us, Moose appreciates his personal space when he’s sleeping or relaxing, so he does best with animals who understand and respect his boundaries.

Moose’s biggest challenge is his reactivity toward other dogs. Seeing other dogs, hearing them bark, or being in close proximity to them can make him anxious and reactive. Because of this, Moose would be happiest as the only dog in the home with someone who is comfortable managing his needs on walks and avoiding close interactions with unfamiliar dogs.

Moose is also still working on his house-training, particularly when it comes to bowel movements, and will need a patient adopter willing to continue helping him establish a consistent routine.
