MEET Fritz -

Fritz is a 10 lb. mini wire hair dachshund mix. He’s about 7 years old, potty trained, healthy and up to date on vaccines, but he needs to be neutered (new owner must sign agreement to get him neutered). Fritz thrives on affection and snuggles, and he’s food motivated so training him should be easier. He absolutely loves having a ball thrown for him. Fritz is good with other small dogs, but no young kids or cats. If you can give this sweet little guy a loving forever home please fill out an application today!

Like all Dachshunds, Fritz enjoys playing and warming their little bones in the sunshine, along with regular walks Fritz needs a secure fenced yard to run around and explore safely. While small in stature, doxies are big on personality and don't generally do well in apartments. Therefore we adopt to families who live in single family homes (or Duplexes) with secure fenced yards.

OUR CRITERIA:

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have found that the following criteria best sets up our doxies and their new families for success.

Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We generally do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together. We prefer non-smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.

All our dogs are vetted and vaccinated. If available, they’ll come with a few goodies to get you started (food, toys and a harness). The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet/dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
