Meet Riley Joe, a 7-month-old Dachshund mix who currently weighs 19 pounds. He will likely add a few more pounds before reaching his adult weight (under 25 pounds). Riley Joe is a sweet, goofy, active puppy who will keep you laughing at his antics.

Other fun facts about Riley Joe:

Gets along with cats.
Gets along well with other dogs.
Making great progress on housetraining. He will whine at the door to go outside.
Knows the commands "Come" and "Leave it".
Crate trained (but doesn't love it).Wants to be a lap dog.
Walks on a leash (this is a work in progress).

Riley Joe is a Velcro dog and loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom at night. He would love to have a home with another small dog who could be his buddy and playmate, but this isn't a requirement. While a home with a fenced yard is preferred, he would also do well without a fence as long as the family is committed to multiple daily walks. Riley hasn't had interactions with children, but given his age and personality, we think he would do well with children in the home.
