Layla - Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Homer Glen, Illinois

Layla is about 4 years old and weighs 16 lbs. They call her chocolate, but she is very dark chocolate. Layla came into our rescue from Kentucky from a backyard breeder. There were 12 other dogs which included a mom and 6 puppies which our rescue partner took into her shelter. All of them have never had any affection and was not treated nice by the woman's son who wanted them gone. Layla was nervous at first but is starting to come around and likes to lay on the couch with you. She just needs some time to adjust and learn to be a dog. She was never in a car and does get nervous when she goes on car rides. Once she receives the love and affection she deserves, she will warm up and make a wonderful companion.
