Pazookie - Dachshund and Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Cypress, California

Pazookie is a male 8 year old doxie mix, maybe chiweenie. Sadly has has been an outside dog his whole life, in the yard with his sister, until she was recently killed by a coyote and a neighbor stepped in asking us to take him so he does not fall victim to a coyote as well. Pazookie is sweet and gentle and does not ask for much. His life has been turned upside down, but we know this is a positive change for him, it will just take him a while to realize that too. He comes up slowly for attention, likes being pet and takes treats so gently. He would love to be a cherished housepet. Pazookie is 14 lbs on short little legs.
Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested in may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates.

This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some cases a home check.
