BIOGRAPHY
Meet Annabelle!
I was rescued from a home in Ohio that had too many Dachshunds and they were trying to sell some of them. Fortunately, Sophias Grace Foundation offered to take myself and others into foster homes for the care we needed.
Recently I had two mammary masses removed, an inguinal hernia repaired and a spay. Veterinarian staff said I did great during surgery. I have recovered very well and the masses were benign. My future adopter will need to remember a lumps and bumps check each month for me. Easy to do when giving my monthly preventions. I should have been spayed at a younger age, and these masses may never have developed. But now it's my turn to find a forever home.
My foster mom says I am Wonder Woman and Dora the Explorer all in one small package. My age means nothing! I will leap to chairs, especially if you were sitting in them! Tables are not out of my agility capabilities and can defy a baby gate if possible. I hear the words no and get down frequently. But how else am I supposed to look out the windows to monitor the neighborhood activities with this short body?
Walks about the neighborhood are a favorite using my exploring skills. Let's be honest and call it a sniff-affari. I hope someone will have the time to keep those up at my new home, so I keep my lady figure.
Presently I have a fully fenced yard and live with two Beagles and a foster brother. I needed a couple days to decompress in my new home with them. Which brings us to the fact I am crate trained. It's my sleeping spot at night without a fuss and where I eat my meals. When my foster mom comes home from work, I greet her with a loud howl to say I'm happy to see you! I run out with the other dogs to do my business and enjoy the outdoors. Although you can catch me napping on the enclosed back porch after some free time outside.
There are no cats or small children in my foster. I do like the young boy next door who is in elementary school when he comes to the fence to pet me. So, school aged dog savvy children probably would be fine. Generally, I'm a quiet girl. When a visitor comes over, I may sing to them as a greeting. Occasionally I will bark outside in the yard because these Beagles I live with like to announce themselves to the neighborhood.
My loving disposition and kisses certainly will win over any active home.
Annabelle is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is being fostered in Mansfield, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $350.00.
