Squirt - Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Caldwell, Texas

Squirt is a tiny treasure with a big future. This adorable dachshund/Australian cattle dog mix is just 12 pounds at 5 months old and is likely to stay on the smaller side—perfect for someone who wants a compact companion with plenty of personality.

She’s a gentle, timid girl who’s still learning that the world is a safe place. New people and new environments can feel overwhelming for her, but with patience, calm reassurance, and consistent love, she blossoms. Squirt needs an adopter who understands that confidence grows slowly and beautifully when nurtured.

She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. With cats, she’ll chase those who run but coexists well with confident cats or those who are dog-savvy. Her playful side shines with stuffed toys, tennis balls, wrestling matches with her sister, and joyful zoomies through the house or backyard.

Squirt is ready for a home that will celebrate her sweetness, support her courage, and enjoy every small victory as she learns to trust and thrive.
