DESCRIPTION
Meet Lashes — a very shy and skittish girl with a gentle heart and a silly side that starts to shine once she feels comfortable. While she’s still learning to trust people, she’s slowly making progress every day and showing more of her sweet personality. Lashes absolutely loves chicken, enjoys going on walks, and loves to dig and explore.
She can be sensitive to body handling and does not like being picked up, so she’ll do best with someone patient who will let her move at her own pace. Loud or unfamiliar house noises, especially things like air fryer or central heater, can be scary for her. She’s also uncomfortable in dark or small spaces.
Lashes is currently a very picky eater and is only eating homemade food at the moment. Because she is still building confidence and can be easily startled, an adult-only household is recommended so she can continue to feel safe and secure in a calm environment. With time, patience, and a calm environment, this sweet girl has so much potential to continue blossoming and learning that the world can be a safe place. Beneath her fears is a goofy, lovable pup who just wants to feel safe and understood.
ABOUT: DACHSHUND DOG BREED
The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
