Dachshund and Chihuahua Dogs Available for Adoption in Cincinnati, Ohio

RAWR!!! Yeah, we know, T-REX isn't even a little bit scary! Instead he's drop dead gorgeous. T-Rex is a long and low chiweenie (dachshund/chihuahua) mix pup looking for a home. He is fun, playful and sweet and definitely favors the dachshund side of his family tree. He's a short stack who loves other dogs and squeaky toys and is fine with kitties. He's also very people-oriented. T-Rex is 7-9 months old and currently 18 lbs. T-Rex landed in a shelter with his dad Dino. He's never known life as an only dog and he really needs a home with another playful, friendly dog. If you'd like to meet T-Rex, please fill out a dog adoption application at

We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet T-Rex at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate if he's still available.

Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
