WHAT KIND OF HOME DOES CRUISER NEED?
*Cruiser has lived a sheltered life as an only dog and is very attached to his person. He can be anxious around unfamiliar people, particularly when visitors enter his home, and may bark until he feels comfortable. He can also be uncertain around unfamiliar dogs, especially larger ones.
*Cruiser does well with a calm, confident human leader. He looks to his person for direction and does well meeting new people, enjoyed his leash walk, and showed a playful side with smaller dogs.
*Cruiser would benefit from an experienced, dog-savvy adopter who understands that confidence takes time to build. He needs someone who will introduce him gradually to new people, dogs, and experiences while allowing him to adjust at his own pace.
*His ideal home would be with someone who is home often, enjoys an active lifestyle, and is committed to helping him become more comfortable in the world around him. A home with a cat is a possibility, and he may do well with a compatible, friendly smaller dog following proper introductions.
*Cruiser has been exceptionally well cared for. His new owner must also be committed to regular professional grooming to maintain his beautiful coat.
Cruiser is a loving, well-cared-for companion who has so much potential to thrive with the right guidance and a home that understands his needs. If you think you could be the person Cruiser is looking for, please reach out for more information. info@spottydogrescue.org
