Sammie (male) - Corgi Dog for Adoption in Junction City, Kansas

So Sammie, who is a boy, was left by his owner with someone who actually threatened to shoot him if he wasn't "gone by the end of the day." Thankfully a good samaritan stepped in.
Sammie unfortunately came to us with an unwelcomed guest: heartworms. He has completed all the treatment and we have no reason to believe he won't live out a perfectly normal life. BUT, he will need to be tested for heartworms again in March 2027 as long as he consistently gets the preventative he's currently receiving.
In addition to being treated for heartworms, Sammie has been neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations. He is a sweet boy but requires an active household. Sammie is not happy being a couch potato and can be very vocal about it.
Sammie has done fine with his foster brother. We do not know how he is with children or cats.
