DONATO IS A RETIRED LITTLE OLD MAN...
...trapped in the body of a young dog.

This tiny gentleman acts like he's already paid taxes, yelled at neighborhood kids to stay off his lawn, and settled into a life of snacks, observation, and selective social interaction.

At first glance, Donato may seem a little shy.
And honestly? Fair.
The world is big when you're one foot tall and built like a fluffy mozzarella stick.

But once he decides you're safe?
Oh, you're done for.

Suddenly this tiny cream puff is glued to your lap, supervising your daily activities, judging your snack choices, and politely requesting cuddles like the distinguished gentleman he believes himself to be.

And yes... he "snarls."
Except it's not actually a snarl.
It's more like his face forgot how to process emotions correctly. Foster mom says it's basically his version of smiling.

Donato is playful, affectionate, observant, and surprisingly funny without even trying. He enjoys zooming around the yard with his bigger foster sisters but is equally happy curled up quietly beside you contemplating life like a tiny furry philosopher.

He doesn't care much about toys.
He DOES care deeply about:
/ Small treats
/ Soft blankets
/ Lap time
/ Respectful introductions
/ Being carried like royalty when his little legs get tired

He's also incredibly polite.
A true ladies' man.
Always letting the girls go first like the tiny gentleman he is.

Leashes are still suspicious.
We're working through that together.

But honestly? Donato feels less like "a dog" and more like a tiny little companion creature sent here specifically to emotionally manipulate someone into spoiling him forever.
