Rory is a bluetick coonhound. He is roughly 60 lbs. He is young at 1-2 years of age. He is a typical hound: goofy. Rory is young and still learning boundaries and socialization. He does love toys and fetch and he loves attention. He is not great in cars and we are hoping with more experience, he will be better. He genuinely seems afraid of them. He ended up in our local shelter where no one came for him. He declined in that environment as he was pretty scared. When found, he had a bunch of rope tied around him. He just needs someone to give him a chance to be part of the family. He will need a yard and exercise. He has no prey drive that we have witnessed and he has been around small dogs.
Adoption fee is 325 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..
We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.
Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. For individuals who are 70 years of age and older, the dogs must be 8 years or older

We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SouthernNevadaBeagleRescueFoundation . Come meet and play with our available dogs at Las Vegas area dog parks. Times and locations can be found at http://www.meetup.com/beagles-207/ . Contact us or check our Facebook updates ahead of time if you are interested in meeting a particular dog. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups.
Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash. Beagle enthusiasts, come bay with us..... AROOOOOOOOOOOO!
