DESCRIPTION
Meet Faith! This sweet girl was adopted about a year ago from another shelter and lived with a family up until a few weeks ago. Due to unforeseen life circumstances this girl was surrendered to us. Since being at the shelter, Faith has gone from shy and shutdown to friendly and more social. Being a hound mix type dog, Faith is always ready for a hike, exercise, mental stimulation and training. Faith has not had any basic training so will need an adopter who will take their time, use positive reinforcement and teach her how to be the best dog. Faith also needs help learning how to potty train. Once she catches on, we know she'll be an A+ student! Great with other dogs and kids, lap dog, playful, friendly with everyone in the home and can be a bit shy with visitors.
ABOUT: COONHOUND DOG BREED
The Coonhound is a versatile and athletic breed known for its exceptional hunting abilities and loyalty. With a strong sense of smell and impressive tracking skills, Coonhounds are often used for hunting raccoons and other game. This breed is friendly, outgoing, and makes a devoted companion for an active family. Coonhounds come in different varieties, including the Black and Tan Coonhound, Redbone Coonhound, and Treeing Walker Coonhound, each with its own unique characteristics and qualities.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
