DESCRIPTION
Meet Hazel
Hazel is a stunningly beautiful 9-month-old hound mix with a sweet heart, plenty of energy, and kisses for her favorite people. She's friendly with other dogs and fantastic when she's out in public.
In true hound fashion, Hazel loves food. She'll happily investigate a countertop or track down any treats left within reach! She's a clever young dog who needs exercise, training, and a family with a good sense of humor about her food-finding skills.
Hazel also has herding tendencies and may chase or nip at ankles when she gets excited, especially around small children. She needs a home without young kids and people who can give her consistent guidance as she grows up.
Hazel was left behind at a Texas cattle auction and left in an outdoor shelter. That life is thankfully now behind her.
If you're energetic, love food, and want a sweet, gorgeous sidekick to share your adventures, Hazel might be your girl!
ABOUT: COONHOUND DOG BREED
The Coonhound is a versatile and athletic breed known for its exceptional hunting abilities and loyalty. With a strong sense of smell and impressive tracking skills, Coonhounds are often used for hunting raccoons and other game. This breed is friendly, outgoing, and makes a devoted companion for an active family. Coonhounds come in different varieties, including the Black and Tan Coonhound, Redbone Coonhound, and Treeing Walker Coonhound, each with its own unique characteristics and qualities.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
