DESCRIPTION
Hi, I'm Windsor. I came to the shelter from a large hoarding case, and while many of my friends have started coming out of their shells, I'm still trying to figure this whole world out. The shelter has been a hard place for me, and even after spending time here, I'm still very shut down. I'm not aggressive-I'm just scared. When I go outside, my favorite place is quietly sitting on a bench where I can watch the world go by. I enjoy gentle pets once I feel safe, and I'll even relax enough to lay down while someone calmly sits with me. I've met some of the dogs I lived with before coming to the shelter, and while I coexist peacefully with them, I'm still too overwhelmed to really engage. What I need more than anything is a calm, patient home that understands healing can't be rushed. My adopter will need to celebrate the smallest victories and let me build confidence at my own pace. A quiet home, a predictable routine, and someone willing to love me exactly where I am today will give me the best chance to finally become the dog I was always meant to be. My journey may take longer than most, but I promise I'll be worth the wait.
