Meet Nutmeg, affectionately known as "Meg" - a 25 lb sweetheart with the gentlest soul. At just 7 months old, Meg is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She can be very shy at first, but underneath that timid exterior is one of the sweetest, most loving little dogs you could ever meet.

Meg is submissive, affectionate, and absolutely adores being pet. She does wonderful with other dogs and would truly thrive in a home with another confident pup to show her the fun things in life - like chewing on bones, playing with toys, and learning that people can be trusted. She is also good with cats and would likely do well with respectful children who understand she may need a little patience and time to warm up.

She's making great progress with leash walking and is starting to realize adventures outside can actually be fun! Meg also settles nicely in her crate after a couple little whines. She is currently working hard on potty training and, considering she likely never had anyone teach her before coming into rescue, she's doing incredibly well. With a committed adopter willing to continue showing her love and consistency, we think she's going to catch on quickly.

Nutmeg is the kind of dog that may not demand attention right away - but once she trusts you, her quiet love will absolutely melt your heart.
