Zeeva - Cocker Spaniel Dog for Adoption in St. Thomas, Ontario

Meet Zeeva!

Zeeva is a beautiful 7-year-old Cocker Spaniel weighing approximately 35 pounds, with a lovely combination of quiet companionship and unexpected bursts of silliness!

Most of the time, Zeeva is a relaxed, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than curling up beside her people on the couch. But mornings are a different story!

Her foster family calls her morning excitement her "big feelings," and Zeeva takes them very seriously. She starts her day by finding the biggest toy she can possibly carry, then proudly races around the house or backyard with it. She's also taken to collecting toys from the outdoor toy bin and carrying them around the yard. We're not entirely sure what she's planning, but she clearly has a system!

Once her morning adventures are complete, she's perfectly happy to return to the couch for some quality cuddle time.

Zeeva can be a little cautious at first, but she's becoming more comfortable as she settles into foster life. She enjoys other dogs, particularly smaller ones, and loves chasing her canine foster sibling around the yard. Another dog would be a bonus, but isn't necessary. She's also been great with the resident cat.
She's house trained, hasn't shown any separation anxiety, and is still working on her leash skills. She isn't crate trained.

Zeeva would thrive in a quieter home with a comfortable routine and people who enjoy spending time with her. A retired couple, single person, or family with respectful older children could be a wonderful match. A securely fenced yard is a must, especially for those very important morning toy parades!

Zeeva really is the best of both worlds: a sweet, easygoing cuddle companion with a wonderfully goofy side.

If you've got a cozy spot on the couch and room for one very enthusiastic toy collector, Zeeva would love to meet you!
