Welcome to Camp Cocker Rescue, Doc!
We rescued this handsome tri-color Cocker Spaniel from the Harbor Shelter in San Pedro, CA. He appeared to have a few medical issues that needed attention.
He came to us emaciated, his hips and ribs prominent due to no fat and muscle loss. His rear legs have some ataxia (showing incoordination). His ears are infected, and his teeth show heavy tartar.
Doc is now getting “the works.” Gold star treatment all the way!
He is thoroughly enjoying his foster home and siblings, seeming to understand that our whole community is sending love his way!
He is now on deck for knee surgery, followed by physical therapy on both knees.
And then, at long last, Doc should be ready for adoption! Whew! We know, that’s a lot to go through, but we believe it’s worth it to give Doc the chance to have a pain-free life!
