Meet Jovie
Jovie is a 1-year-old chocolate brown Cocker Spaniel who came into rescue in absolutely devastating shape. She was severely matted, had painfully overgrown nails, and needed surgery to remove a cherry eye. It took some time to get this little girl cleaned up, trimmed, comfortable, and healed, but through it all, she has been nothing but sweet.
Jovie is currently fostered with both dogs and cats. She mostly ignores the other animals in her foster home and would much rather spend her time soaking up attention from her people. She loves being loved on and is happiest when she can simply relax near her humans.
She is great in her crate, walks well on leash, and is working on potty training. Jovie hasnt shown much interest in toys yet, but she is opening up more and more every day as she learns what it feels like to be safe and comfortable.
Jovie may not be looking her absolute best just yet. She needed a difficult haircut after being so severely matted, and she was shaved around one eye for her surgery. But underneath that haircut is the most adorable little girl who deserves the chance to truly shine.
After everything she has been through, Jovie is ready for a home where she will be loved, cared for, and never have to live in discomfort again.
Jovie is spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on vaccines.
