Stitch - Cocker Spaniel and Schnauzer Dog for Adoption in Garland, Texas

Meet Stitch! He is an 8 yr old cocker spaniel / mini schnauzer who needs somewhere new to call home. He is very smart, potty trained (and used to having a dog door), extremely obedient, loves car rides, playing fetch, walking and just a great little companion dog for someone who does not have cats AT ALL or other dogs. He would be perfect for someone without a lot of chaos in their home. We rescued Stitch from someone who kept him in a kennel 90% of the time and just had him in unacceptable conditions. More than half of his life was without other pets. We got a puppy two years ago. He bossed her around and was just disgusted by the sight of her however, he tolerated her. Now she’s 75 pounds and she likes to play and wants to wrestle. This works his nerve so badly and he becomes very stressed and whiny, following all of us around like is truly in distress. He is at a point where he just needs to be in an environment that won’t antagonize him. We love him, however we want him to have a good life and don’t want to tranquillize him just so he can get through every day. He is truly an amazing and go with the flow kind of dog. If you want to take a walk, so does he if you want to sleep all day, so does he! If you want to throw a ball he will bring it back as many times as you throw it. If there is someone out there that needs a new little buddy, please let me know! He comes with multiple collars, a harness, leashes, toys and bed. He needs a bordatella shot in a couple of months I believe and his rabies is good for another year.
