It's adorable & adoptable: Lucy the Lizard Hunter.
Lucy is a beautiful, big-boned 40-pound Cocker Spaniel with soulful eyes, silky black fur, and a whole lot of love to give.
What Lucy really wants is her own person--someone she can rest her head on while you watch TV and keep you company. Give her a yard, and she'll happily spend her time doing what she does best: hunting lizards and investigating anything hiding in the shrubs!
Lucy is housebroken and has been wonderful in her foster home. She does have a little bit of a curious streak and may want to see what's happening on the kitchen counters... especially if there happens to be food within reach!
She enjoys her toys and would probably thrive in an active home where she can be part of the family. She's good with other dogs, but at heart, Lucy really loves her person.
She may whine a little when crated, but she settles down. Honestly, she may not need to be crated at all--she's mature, trustworthy, and hasn't shown any destructive behavior.
Because Lucy previously lived with other dogs, she can be protective of her food and worries that another dog might take it. She'll need some reassurance and management around mealtimes while she learns that her food is hers and nobody is going to steal it.
Lucy is a sweet, beautiful girl who would love nothing more than to find a loving forever home with someone who will let her be their shadow, cuddle buddy, and backyard lizard hunter--she's in it for life!
