You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.KoKo is a five year old, wavy haired, apricot colored Cockapoo. Date of Birth: 12/20/2020. At 22 pounds she is the perfect size--not too breakable and sturdy enough to fit into any family or lifestyle. She can leap easily onto furniture and into vehicles.
Does KoKo walk well on a leash? Oh yes she does! She walks beautifully and will go as far as you have the time to walk her.
Is KoKo good with kids? Yes--as long as they are kind and gentle.
Is KoKo good with cats and other dogs? Again, yes! She has been an only dog but was able to quickly become a part of a pack of six dogs: includes big, small, male, and female. Though never having lived with a cat, when cat tested, KoKo just ignored the cat after an initial sniff from both parties.
Does KoKo like men? No--she LOVES men as well as women. She is very friendly and happy to meet anyone and everyone including the vet that recently vaccinated her.
Does KoKo ride well in the car? Yes! She rides quietly in the passenger seat.
How is KoKo in a crate? She is not a fan but can be crated. KoKo does not do any damage in the house even when left alone, but she does prefer to sleep with her person! She is a great snuggle bug and will chill with you at any time and any place.
And the big question everyone wants to ask: Is KoKo house trained? In her previous home she was puppy-pad trained. KoKo didn’t have the opportunity to go outside in her previous home, but after initially holding it for nearly 18 hours at her foster home, she began relieving herself in a fenced yard. Within five days, she progressed to going potty during her walks.
KoKo has learned to use the doggie door to come inside and is still working on using it consistently to go out. This sweet girl will thrive with someone who takes her out on a regular schedule, stays with her, and offers plenty of praise when she does well.
KoKo has been one of the lucky ones having lived all of her life in a very caring and conscientious home. It is through no fault of her own that her owner has had a life altering change and must move to be closer to family to live in a pet free apartment.
This pretty, little, well-rounded girl is up-to-date on vaccines, is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, is microchipped, spayed, and she has had a dental. If you are interested in being considered as KoKo's forever home, please apply to Haven to Home Canine Rescue today. She is lovingly fostered in Northumberland, PA 17857.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.
We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
Thank you!
