Aubree was found as a stray in Smithville, TX. We don't know what her life looked like before rescue, or what experiences shaped the way she sees the world today. What we do know is that she deserved a chance — and she has absolutely made the most of it.
Aubree's personality is very "Chow" through and through. She is not a social, outgoing dog, and she will not immediately warm up to strangers. Instead, she is observant, independent, and thoughtful about who she gives her trust to. But once that trust is earned, she is deeply loyal, quietly affectionate, and incredibly devoted to her person. She bonds in a calm, steady way — the kind of companionship that feels grounded, real, and meaningful.
She will thrive in a home that respects her boundaries and understands that trust is something she builds slowly, not something she gives freely on day one. She is best suited for a calm environment without children, where her world can stay predictable, peaceful, and safe.
We've already seen what she can become when she feels secure — softer, more engaged, and willing to seek out connection in her own quiet way. Now we're just waiting for the person who gets to see the rest of her story unfold.
**Aubree is being fostered in San Marcos, TX. Paid transport can be arranged. Transport costs range from $200-400.**
