DESCRIPTION
He’s incredibly smart, affectionate, and people-loving. Theo learned to give paw in just a few tries and now proudly sits and offers it for meals. He’s very food and affection motivated, making him both easy to bond with and rewarding to train.
He has a calm, gentle nature with playful moments — he enjoys toys, is starting to play fetch, and is the cutest sock thief you’ll ever meet (he gently carries them to his bed). He loves pets and will happily encourage you to keep them coming — sometimes even “smiling” when they’re extra good.
Theo forms a deep bond with his person while still loving everyone he meets. He’s happiest near you, whether getting attention or just quietly laying by your side.
He loves car rides, is potty trained, crate trained, takes medication easily, and has been excellent during his recovery — even respecting his bandages without needing a cone. He rarely barks and does get excited to greet you when you come home.
He is currently healing and may have some continued recovery needs, but he’s handled everything with patience and resilience.
At his core, Theodore is a loyal, gentle dog who just wants to love and be loved — and he will form a truly special bond with his forever person.
ABOUT: CHOW CHOW DOG BREED
The Chow Chow, a distinctive breed known for its lion like mane and unique blue black tongue, originated in China over 2,000 years ago. These aloof yet loyal dogs are known for their independent nature, dignified demeanor, and protective instincts. Chow Chows require early socialization and training to thrive in a family setting, as they can be stubborn and territorial. With a dense double coat that requires regular grooming and a history as ancient guardians and hunting companions, the Chow Chow remains a fascinating and enigmatic breed in the canine world.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
