DESCRIPTION
Hi there… I’m Socks a small, short-haired Chihuahua mix with a gentle heart and a calm, loving spirit. I’m a neutered little guy, around a few years old, and just the right size to be your everyday cuddle buddy. I’m the kind of dog who truly enjoys the simple things in life. I love affection and attention, but I’m just as happy relaxing beside you, soaking up quiet moments together. I have a soft, peaceful presence and get along well with other dogs. I also have a sweet habit of giving little kisses to remind you how much I care. My favorite days include cozy naps in a soft bed or blanket, window watching, and gentle strolls where I can sniff all the interesting smells. I enjoy plush toys, tasty treats like jerky or crunchy carrots, and of course, ear scratches, chin rubs, and being held close. I’m happiest when I’m near my people—whether that’s curled up on your lap or just quietly keeping you company. I’m easygoing with low exercise needs, and I’d do great with daily walks and a little routine. With regular brushing, nail trims, and ear care, I’ll stay happy and healthy. I may benefit from some basic manners training, but I’m eager to learn with kindness and positive rewards. If you’re looking for a gentle, cozy companion to share your home and heart, I’d love to be your new best friend. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863-324-5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
