Meet Mama Birch

There's something incredibly special about a mama dog who has spent her life caring for others and is finally getting the chance to be someone's baby. At just 2 years old and around 10 pounds, Mama Birch is ready for a life where she gets to be loved just as deeply as she loves.

Birch is one of those dogs who seems to have a heart that is simply too big for her tiny body. She is sweet, gentle, submissive, and incredibly affectionate. She loves other dogs, but what she really wants is to be the love of someone's life. She wants to curl up in your lap, tuck herself against you, and remind you that you are never getting through the day without a few kisses.

She has the kind of gentle soul that makes you want to protect her. She wouldn't hurt a fly, and despite everything she's been through, she has remained incredibly trusting and loving.

And then there's her little personality.

Birch is actually quite smart!! Which occasionally works against her humans. If she decides she doesn't want to do something, she won't argue. She'll simply wait until you walk away, quietly go do whatever she wanted to do, and then greet you with the sweetest little smile when you come back.

"What? Me? I would never."

She isn't leash trained yet, but we truly believe that's something she'll pick up with patience and consistency. She's a smart girl, and once she understands what's being asked of her, she'll be on her way.

Birch also has one very important hobby: supervising dinner. She LOVES to beg when you're eating, and we suspect she may have been spoiled with table scraps in her previous home. She has a sensitive tummy, so her new family will need to introduce new foods slowly and carefully.

But really, what Mama Birch wants most isn't food.

It's love.

She wants someone who will make her feel safe. Someone whose lap can become her favorite place in the world. Someone who will let her follow them around, give her endless affection, and show her that she doesn't have to spend her days taking care of everyone else anymore.

She gets to be cared for now.

She gets to be someone's baby.

And we can't think of anything Mama Birch deserves more.


Adoption FEE: $500 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.

A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.

Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
