Meet Tina-a sweet, playful, and snuggly companion who is looking for a home that truly means forever.

Tina originally came to the shelter as a tiny puppy with her three siblings. Though she was adopted, unexpected life changes brought her back through no fault of her own. Now, this resilient girl is ready to find her true forever family and move on to her next exciting chapter!

--House & Crate Trained: Tina is fully housebroken and comfortably crate-trained.

--Master Snuggler: Her absolute favorite place to be is curled up in front of a warm fireplace on a chilly day or burrowing under the blankets at the foot of the bed at night.

--Playful & Active: Tina loves running hiking trails, zooming around a fenced backyard, and keeping her doggy friends active and engaged in a fun, healthy way.

--Great with Other Dogs: Tina enjoys canine companions! She loves playing with younger, energetic dogs, is respectful and considerate around seniors, and even enjoys outdoor playdates with neighborhood pup pals.

--Smart & Alert: She is aware of her surroundings, stays close by in the yard, and is super friendly with visiting neighbors and pet sitters.

Her Ideal Home:
Tina would do best in a home with adults or older, mature kids who understand calm play.

Things to Keep in Mind:
To ensure Tina and her future family are set up for total success, here are three specific quirks to know about her:

Nipping During Rough Play: When surroundings get too rowdy or children play rough, Tina can get overstimulated and may nip. An adult-centered home or one with calm, older kids will keep her feeling safe and relaxed.

Resource Guarding High-Value Food: While she eats normal daily meals right next to other dogs without any issue, she can get possessive over food if it's dropped on the floor or if she's in a tight, confined space with another dog. Management during cooking or treat time keeps everyone happy.

Paper Destroyer Extraordinaire: Keep your tissue boxes and toilet paper rolls tucked safely away-Tina has a passionate love for shredding paper products if given the chance!

Snow Diva: Deep snow isn't her favorite! She expects a nicely shoveled pathway cleared for her when she goes out in winter storms.

If you're looking for a loving trail buddy, a loyal fireplace companion, and a wonderful second pup to round out your home, Tina is ready to meet you!

Due to MA Dept of Agriculture restrictions, we can not adopt to MA residents.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
