Imagine you're just living your life as a grumpy little chihuahua and the good lord above sees fit to bless you with permanent scowling little eyebrows? Then your name might be Siren!

This sweet little lady came to Murci's Mission from SCRAPS as a part of our shelter clearing effort in preparation for the influx of Spokane Complex Fire pets. She has an estimated birthdate of 08/04/2018.

Siren is another of those special little souls who didn't make the cut as a transfer option with other shelters due to her poor social skills and medical needs. In the shelter, she was terrified, combative, and very hard to handle. She sat in her tiny round bed and screamed if anyone tried to touch her.

She's taken a few days to warm up and still has some trauma and aversion associated with physical touch, but she can and will build trust and is now letting us pick her up. She even went for a short hike where she chose to jump in the lake and let herself walk out to chest deep and do a little recreational floating. Shortly after, she applied the E Brake and had to be carried a mile back to the car, but we are still proud of her for coming along and enjoying the water.

Siren is good with dogs and cats. She needs a child free home and requires an adopter with time and love to give who can accept that it will take weeks to months for her to develope full trust. Without boundaries, she also has a decent probability of becoming a little chihuahua who bites all the house guests, so you'd best expect to teach her right from wrong because she may become quite a little dictator if she's allowed to rule the roost.

Siren comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with a fresh dental. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes a leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and a complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties stick the landing.
