At 5 years old, this adorable Chihuahua has perfected the art of the cozy life! Dixie came to us from California, so her story before arriving here is a bit of a mystery, but one thing we know for sure is that she has SO much love to give.

Dixie is a total sweetheart who loves nothing more than curling up in a warm sunbeam or snuggling into a comfy lap. Honestly, she's basically a cat in a Chihuahua's body! If she could purr, she absolutely would. Her favorite hobbies include soaking up the sunshine, being close to her people, and making herself right at home wherever there's a cozy spot.

Dixie has had a few medical procedures, including removal of a mammary mass and some dental extractions, and she's ready to find a loving home where she can enjoy all the soft beds, sunny windowsills, and lap time her little heart desires.

She does have luxating patellas, which means her kneecaps don't sit quite normally, and her legs have a unique positioning. The good news is that she isn't showing signs of pain right now! Her adopters will need to sign a medical waiver acknowledging that she may need follow-up care for her knees in the future.
