Chawea is a sweet 5-year-old Chihuahua mix whose world was recently turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Having spent her entire life as a cherished indoor companion to a senior person, she is now looking for a patient, loving family to help her feel safe and secure again.

This little lady is potty pad trained and is accustomed to a quiet home environment. Because she has lived a very sheltered life, there are many things that are new to her. She has never been around children, is sensitive to loud noises, and has never learned to walk on a leash. Chawea will need a family willing to take things slowly and help her build confidence at her own pace.

When she's feeling comfortable, Chawea enjoys the simple things in life-especially squeaky toys and soft stuffed animals. They're some of her favorite companions! She tolerates being in a crate when necessary, but she's happiest spending time close to the people she trusts.

Chawea isn't looking for adventure-she's looking for a second chance. A calm, quiet home with patient adopters who understand that she may need time to adjust would be ideal for this special girl.
