Doug - Chihuahua and Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Snyder, Texas

Call him Doug, Douglas, Dougie Fresh- he answers to all of them. Wherever you go, whatever you call him, Doug is just interested in being included.

Doug is a 2 year old chiweenie mix, weighing in around a lean mean 17lbs. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, housebroken, and will stay in the crate if he has to. He recently learned the dog door but even without that, he is housebroken. Doug does best with a consistent routine, and if he has that, hes a very easy boy. He enjoys a good Sunday nap on the couch snuggling or a bone to chew on when he needs to entertain himself. Doug very much enjoys sleeping with his person at night.
Doug is a friendly fellow- he made quick friends with strangers at a family get together. He would likely do well at a slow-paced brewery, restaurant porch, or small office. He can be a bit mouthy when he gets excited, so his family likely would be best with older children/no small children.

Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States. We have transports that leave Texas monthly. Our out of state adoption fee is $600 per dog. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test (if over 6 months old), health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative and transport costs. The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Face time, etc). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
