Hi humans! I’m Manicotti, and I’m an approximately one-year-old male Chihuahua mix ready to melt your heart!

I came to Faithful Friends from a home with lots of other dogs, and I was pretty scared when I arrived. However, once I learned this place has food, toys, and plenty of space to run around, I opened up! I am a total cuddle bug and love to lie in my human’s lap and give them kisses. Thankfully, I’m only about 8-10lbs so I can lay on laps without crushing you.

I can be shy upon first meeting, which is expected due to my background. I open up once I get comfortable and need a human with prior dog owning experience to help me out of my shell. It only takes a me a little while and then I become your best friend.

I’m also very playful with my dog siblings and would love to have another dog in my forever home or to be your one and only. Because I’m still a young adult, I am active and would love someone who can give me daily walks, play with me outside, and give me behaviorally appropriate enrichment.

The humans at the sanctuary think my little legs, long body, and wing-shaped ears are oh so cute and, if you do too, put in an application today.

I am up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature.
